We had our Summer Picnic on Friday 30th June, but it wasn't quite the way we planned due to the Great British weather! It wasn't wet, but it was windy and cooler than you'd like for sitting outside to eat a picnic, so we brought it indoors. Children and their adults ate lunch together in our two halls and various classrooms. Our HSA sold refreshments including strawberries and cream and Mary Stevens Hospice sold ice creams to raise money for their charity. We even had a visit from Twinkle the Baby Ballet Bear, who wowed everyone with her ballet skills, gave lots of hugs and posed for photos with the children. Even though it wasn't quite the same as sitting on the field in the sunshine, we all still had a lovely afternoon.
