Dudley Admissions Service is the main point of contact for all matters concerning school admissions, including starting school for the first time in Reception, in-year transfers, starting secondary school, appeals and waiting lists. Starting Primary School - Reception Intake for September 2024
​
Children start primary school in Reception the September after their 4th birthday. Your application for school can be completed online from 1st October 2023 until 5pm on 15th January 2024. In-Year Admissions (Changing Schools)
​
In-year admissions relate to school places other than the main point of entry, usually if your child is changing schools. If you wish to apply for an in-year school place and you live within the Dudley Local Authority, you must contact Dudley Admissions Service and complete the necessary paperwork. Your child's current school will also have to complete and return a section of the paperwork. You may have to go on a waiting list if there are no places available in the year group you require.
