School Values

Honesty - This terms school value.

Each half term, there will be a focus on a different Value. This terms value is Honesty. Stickers have been provided for each of the Values. These will be awarded to any child seen displaying the Value – even if they are in a different class or Year Group.

Every child has a Passport where they can collect their Values sticker and record what they have been given it for. Within the Passport there are a number of suggestions for obtaining stickers. These passports will follow the child throughout their time at Cotwall End. Each week, a pupil who has displayed the focus Value will be selected and a certificate awarded in Praise Assembly and the reason shared with the whole school and the pupil’s parents or carers. The Values themes are:

Autumn 1 – Honesty

Autumn 2 – Wisdom

Spring 1 – Kindness

Spring 2 – Happiness

Summer 1 – Bravery

Summer 2 – Self-belief

A new Values display is in the main corridor by the School Reception. One piece of work for each Value has been chosen and will be framed on the display. Congratulations to all these children whose work has been chosen.

Next week we have Year 6 out on residential at Dunfield; whilst our Year 3 and Year 5 children will be bringing their bikes to school as they have 'bikeability' which is a cycle training programme.

On Friday we have'genes4jeans' day. As in previous years we will be supporting this campaign by holding a non-uniform day on Friday 21st September. All children are welcome to come in their own clothes and a voluntary contribution can be handed to class teachers on the day if you so wish.

Year 4 are having a Roman Day today, there are some wonderful costumes from the children and staff.

Have a lovely weekend.
