At the end of June, we had our Summer Concert. A showcase for our many talented singers and musicians. The school orchestra, choir, keyboard, woodwind and violin ensembles performed. We also had soloists, duets and trios. Everyone performed absolutely brilliantly, it was a really fun, happy evening of music making. The concert finished with a sing-a-long to Katy Perry's 'Roar'. Our audience was fantastic and joined in too! Well done to everyone!
This year we have had 25 orchestra members, made up of Violins, Clarinets, Flutes, Recorders, Keyboards, Glockenspiel and Oboes, over 30 in our school Choir and 35 in Recorder club. We have many children learning to play the guitar too. All of year 3 have learnt to play the Recorder in class and Years 4, 5 and 6 have had a term of learning to play the Flute. Music is very much alive at Cotwall End!
